Queens Libertarians will host recent candidates Nic Leobold and Sam Sloan, at the Takara Sushi restaurant located at 150-11 14th Avenue, Whitestone, New York on Saturday, August at 11:30 am. They will speak on the topic of “Police and Criminal Justice Reform After Floyd” and the best civil libertarian approach to law enforcement and police brutality issues in the wake of the early summer protests. What new reforms are needed, and what is the most constructive path to obtaining change?
There will also be an update on the ballot status lawsuit of LPNY in light of the recent change in the NY State election laws. UPDATE– Nic indicates he may not appear for personal reasons, in which case host John Clifton will fill in with thoughts on the topic, based on commentary recently expressed in his blog.
